I filed my objection with the DG, ASI, vide my letter dated 16-11-2009 stating that our adjacent house, i.e..C-97, as well as C-103, which is on the other side of the house have been granted similar permission and therefore our case too merits a similar sanction. 4) On a perusal of the minutes of the 23rd Meeting of the Expert Advisory committee held on 18th and 19th August 2009, which is on the ASI website. I find that permission to our adjacent house C-97, Shivalik, has been granted on the basis of the following information which is recorded in the minutes. - Distance from protected monument – 38 m. (Surprisingly, our house which is adjacent to C-97, has been stated to be at a distance of 19 m. vide ASI’s rejection letter). - North C-98 (Our house) Residential building with 14.50 m. height, which is fraudulent and wong. . (Our house is only 10.26 m. high. We now propose to build the 2nd Floor). - South (C-96) Residential building with 14.50 height,again fraudulent and wrong. (Its built upto First Floor Only around 10 m.) - East – Service lane + Residential Building 12.50 m height - West – Road & Park 5) In our case the facts are similar. In fact the house on our north, i.e. C-99, Shivalik, New Delhi, already has a full Second flooor constructed and the house on the South, i.e. C-97, the 2nd Floor construction has started. To sumarise, both our adjacent houses i.e.C-99 on North (2nd Floor already constructed) and C-97, on South (2nd floor under construction) will be constructed upto the 2nd Floor. Why then deny us i.e. C-98, the permission?

I have submitted my file to A S I for construction of extra floors in march 2008. The file was complete in all respect. I was informed, the expert advisory committee will be held in 2009 to give permission and sanction. To my surprise, house no- C97, 99,102,107 and 112, 117 were given permission whereas C-114 ( my house was left out. Merit wise my house C-114 is far in distance compared to these houses . These houses to whom the permission given are ranging between 20 to 60 meters. Why this discriminatory attitude of competent authority. The existing height of my house C-114 is around of 9.4 meters , In nutshells the houses in lane perpendicular to my house numbering C- 97,99 and 102 were granted permission . In my lane corner house C-107 middle house C-112 and last house C-117 granted permission and they are built to maximum height of 15 meters . When all the houses build are less than 100 meters from Sarai shah jee , why my house C-114 not being granted permission even after pursuing my case for last three years

My house C-100 Shivalik, lies near Sarai Shahji. This so-called protected monument is surrounded by jhuggis, and this is absolutely no maintainence of it. My grievance is 1) I am not allowed construction in my house but there is no restriction on the jhuggis. 2) When permission for construction has been given to C-97, C-107 and many others in my block all of which are less than 100 mts from Sarai shahji then why am I and many others not being given permission? Just because we have not paid bribes !! Its very difficult to live as an honest citizen in this country, as the whole system is corrupt, and tries to force corruption on you. C-97 Shivalik where construction of 2nd floor is being carried out right now, is only few steps to my house C-100 and they have been allowed construction whereas me and many others who have not paid bribes have been denied permission. On what basis??

I have gone through the minutes of the 23rd Meeting of the Expert Advisory committee held on 18th and 19th August 2009, which is on the ASI website in which the basis of permissions if granted is given. Its so shameful that the permission given to C-97 Shivalik is given on the basis that both the houses adjacent to it have a height of 14.5 mts, so C-97 should also be given permission for 2nd floor. In realty both these houses adjacent to C-97 are built only upto a height of 10 mts upto first floor only. This clearly exibits connivance of ASI officials with C-97 shivalik . They have purposely depicted wrong statistics on their report just to facilitate permission to C-97. A glaring example of Corruption !! Clearly Mrs Gupta , Mr Nayyar and Mr Batra and many others are correct.

NEW DELHI: A pre-independence era land document has been called for by the Delhi high court to verify legal claims of a priest occupying a medieval temple inside Purana Qila, a centrally protected monument. HC recently summoned court records from a civil judge after the mahant of the temple, facing eviction from Purana Qila, claimed the original lease deed or its certified copy for the temple land is lying in the civil court. The priest, Mange Ram Bharadwaj, told HC the deed was executed on November 29, 1939, by the governor general-in-council in favour of the secretary, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, New Delhi, in favour of the Kunti Devi temple inside Purana Qila. HC also asked the land & development office to furnish a copy of this lease, or depute an officer to appear in court with land records. this is preservation ?

This is extremely sad and shameful that we r not allowed to construct ,renovate our houses in south Delhi specially in shivalik on the ground that the designated area is under protected monument and the law of 100-300 mtrs applies. This is governed by ASI. According to the latest information/ news of Hindustan times dated 12 june 2012 on page no-2 says that final dossier contains the much hyped proposal for nominating Delhi as a world heritage city will have just two heritage areas—shajanabad , and lute yens New Delhi as against the earlier ident ified four areas including i e Nizamudin and Mehrauli . More to surprise all of us, the news says that there are 226 world heritage cities as per UNESCO . However not a single Indian cities figure in the list. When high level committee has not recognized Nizamudin and Mehrauli as a heritage city, then where the question arises for protection of monuments in these areas .The news says that these two areas have witnessed large scale changes to its heritage fabric. It clearly indicates that so called small, unknown, old structures, walls, with no importance exists in these areas and are not known to anybody . These have become garbage collection centres, where stray animals filth around . These two areas Nizamudin and Mehrauli should be free from the clutches of baseless and useless acts of historic monuments of ASI and the areas should be denotified ASAP .

National Monuments Authority clears way for HC expansion TNN Mar 14, 2012, 06.22AM IST Tags: • National Monuments Authority| • Delhi High Court NEW DELHI: The National Monuments Authority on Tuesday informed the Delhi high court that it has removed the roadblock preventing expansion of the HC building. The NMA told a division bench headed by Justice Pradeep Nandrajog that it has removed the anomaly arising out of a regulation in the bylaws that limits ground coverage as 25% of the area and Floor Area Ratio (FAR) at 125% of the site area. Going with the Master Plan, the authority told HC it has accepted ground coverage at 30% of the site area to be for expanded office complex and FAR at 200%. The bench then asked the Delhi HC Bar Association to meet officials in NMA for further progress in expansion of the court.

I was appointed as a computer operator on contractual basis in the office of National Monument Authority, Art, culture & youth dept., Govt of bihar. I worked in this office November, 2011 to 15th August, 2012. But I didn't get my salary for the month of March, 12 to 15th August 12. It is too late to get my salary. I don't think in the govt of india there is such type of process to give salary. I think it happens only in Bihar. Kindly do necessary action regarding our payment. thanking you. What an Irony !!! This government both the centre and state are just playing Vote bank politics. Height of double standards. I appeal to the government to stop harassing tax paying citizens. This asi law should not be applied to already regularized colonies where people pay municipal taxes. I live in Shivalik colony C block in south Delhi near Malviya nagar. There is a small monument of unknown significance by the name of Sarai Shahji near our colony declared a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). This monument is surrounded by a big cluster of Jhuggis and slums and there is absolutely nothing that the ASI has done for upkeep of this monument. There has been no visitor/tourist to this structure since last 50 years. My question is 1) Our colony is more than 100 mts away if the distance is measured from the gate of the monument itself. But the ASI in its duplicity measures the distance from where the jhuggi cluster surrounding the monument ends, and not from the monument itself citing that the land on which the slums stand is also owned by them. Over the years the slum cluster is increasing and there has been no step taken by the authorities to protect the monument from degradation. On the other hand we the owners of legitimate plots paying all municipal taxes are harassed by not being allowed construction. Also how can a law treat national monuments like Taj mahal, Qutub minar at par with random old tombs/structures that Delhi is filled with ??

Britto [MASR act was passed without knowing the real issues. ASI was sleeping for years together. In 1992 ares near the monuments were declared as protected and activities restricted ( Notification 6/1992) but remains and sites were NOT included. Even in the ordinance promulgated by the President of India in Jan 2010 Remains and sites was NOT included but later when the act was passed in March 2010 ,a new clause 20(B) was specifically inserted to bring remains and sites also under the act and given retrospective effect from 1992. Is this correct ? If ASI and GOVT had taken action earlier people would not have brought lands here. What was ASI doing from 1992? Sites in Pallavaram and Sembakkam have been identified as Remains and sites and not as a Monument by ASI .We cannot reconstruct our house and cannot build on vacant land in oriohibited area We cannot sell our property Is it our mistake? Is the GOvt for the living people or for the dead ones ] It is also a fact that CMDA/ local bodies gave approval for constructions in this area in Sembakkam and Pallavaram because the1992 ASI notification bars construction activity in the prohibited area adjoining A MONUMENT and NOT adjoining a remains and sites area as found in Sembakkam and Pallavaram. We can say that the CMDA/Local bodies are correct in granting approval in these areas, even if they are unaware of the ASI Notification issued in June 1992. By invoking 2010 AMASR act and giving retrospective effect great injustice is being done to the people residing in this areas including Perumbakkam, Kadaperi, Kelambakkam, Perungalthur, vandalur and other affected areas in Kancheepuram Dt. of Tamil Nadu We the affected residents ,welcome the judgement of the Honourable H.C of Chennai

Rakabwala is situated is Sheikh Sarai but notified as situated in Sarai Shahji and Sarai Shahji is property of Thok but instead Rakabwala is wrongly recorded as property of Thok ....So there is need to correct the EROR by doing DE_ NOTIFICATION OF BOTH THE MONUMENTS ......................Please correct the Error and Denotify both with correct record and transfer both to Delhi govt archeological dept. .. ..... Secretary, National Monument Authority Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India 24 Tilak Marg New Delhi I applied online vide UID:845 dated 18/01/2013 for grant of permission to reconstruct plot number 3163 Basti Punjabiyan,Subzi Mandi Delhi 110007. I submitted all the required documents on 24/01/2013 as per checklist to Office of The Competent Authority, ASI,Vikas Bhawan, Bela Road, Delhi-110054. My application for grant of permission was forwarded by Office of Competent Authority to your office vide their letter No. F.NO.CA(ASI)/DELHI/NMA/PROP/2013/UID:845/496/5013 DT.21.02.2013. The status of my application on website of competent authority is still shown as forwarded to NMA. It is almost five months since I applied for permission. I have been waiting for permission. I am a retired employee and wish to reconstruct the house out of terminal benefits (PF/ Gratuity) received from government. The gap between funds available and cost of construction is widening because of inflation. Further I have social obligation of marriage of my children which will be fulfilled after reconstruction of house. Sir, since my land (6.5 cent) is situated within 100meters of protected monument (Avittathur siva temple ) i am not allowed to construct a single storied residential building. i am not even in a position to buy another plot and construct a house. due to this i am in a great problem. in such a small village due to this rule many middle class families with small pieces of land are in problem. it is my humble request to grant me permission to construct a small house,. thanking you , Madhu thekkat

this is to inform u that the house owner of f-15,lado sarai new delhi 30 had opened the seal of mcd illegaly and without any order from the authority ,this house was seal on 21-02-2-11on the account of illegal and unothorised construction by the mcd officer zaki anwar .after few times the builder and owner opened the seal of mcd illegaly and raised unothorised construction on it and sold the flats to innocent peaple at higher costs ,i have camplaint many times to mcd south zone ,control room no and by written also to commissioner of mcd south zone,mr manish gupta ,civic centre ,minto road but till todays date no action has been taken by any of the authority . in a rti answer mcd south zone told me that they will take action against the owner and the third and fourth floor of the building is unothorised so i want to ask u why they r not taking any action this is a request to u kindly look in the matter as soon as possible and take a serious action against the owner and builder
